Jocelyn Feuerstein Selected as Next Head of School
We are delighted to announce that Jocelyn Feuerstein will become the next Head of Rockland Country Day School.
When Ms. Morcate shared her intention to make this year her last at RCDS, we knew that the choice of the next Head of School would be more significant than ever. As the Board discussed the search process and potential candidates, we felt it was imperative that the next head of school be someone who could build upon the excellent work done by Kim and the administration over the past seven years. We also felt it important to select a candidate with strong ties to our community who could appreciate our past and guide us into our future.
This is why we are delighted to announce, in anticipation of the 2018-19 school year, that Jocelyn Feuerstein has accepted the offer from the Board of Trustees to become the next Head of Rockland Country Day School. Jocelyn’s role as RCDS’ Dean of Students and Resident Life, her dedication to our school and community, and the breadth and depth of her experience make her an outstanding leader and our future Head.
Jocelyn has her BS in Business Administration from NYU’s prestigious Stern School and over 20 years of experience in budget control, marketing, business planning, program direction, and admissions, 7 of these years with RCDS. She has worked closely with Kim, Vanessa, and Sandra on administrative matters, strategic planning, and student life.
We deeply appreciate the 7 years of excellent leadership that Kim has provided and we wish her well. She will, no doubt, be a resource for Jocelyn if/when needed. Please offer congratulations to Jocelyn and know that she and we will work closely with Kim and the Board to make the transition as smooth as possible.
