Photography
Photography is an integral part of the visual art curriculum at RCDS. Students learn to see with a camera, starting with a basic pinhole camera, moving to digital cameras and everything in-between. Technology is blurred and student creativity and curiosity take over to make meaningful photographs.
The Photography Department at RCDS offers students a state-of-the-art six-station darkroom, with traditional enlargers and tray processing, analog and digital cameras and Apple G5 workstations and professional software for image editing. The lab also uses photo quality scanners and ink-jet printers for high-end digital output. Classes offered are Photo I, Photo II, Advanced Photography and Independent Study.
Please visit the Photography Department web page for more information. Also, make sure you visit the web page for STUDIO CRITIQUE, a college-prep course at team-taught by Ms. Erickson and Ms. Viscardi.
