Rockland Country Day School Soccer programEvery student participates in the Physical Education program. It is intended to teach an awareness of fitness and motor skills necessary to play team sports.  The School also offers interscholastic play through team sports: coed soccer, boys basketball and girls basketball. In addition, students participate in cheerleading, tennis and girls lacrosse (all non-competitive). Ballroom dancing, which allows students to safely and maturely interact with members of the opposite gender is also offered. All age-appropriate students in the Middle and Upper Schools are encouraged to take part in the extracurricular athletic program.

Soccer

Soccer at RCDS is a varsity coed sport.  The team can be large in size, however everyone is encouraged to play in games and players substitute regularly.  The fall soccer season usually ranges from the second week of school to the last week of October, and we compete against other high school teams from the area that have similar numbers and athletic programs.  Most teams we compete against are also coed.  Practices are four days a week until 5:00 p.m. and Fridays are offered as optional practice days for those players that either need extra work or want another day of training.  Playing on the team is open to all students 8th grade and up.
