Keith Cornell – President

  • A native of Rockland County, is the President of the Board of Trustees. He is a third generation alumnus of Swarthmore College and received his JD from the University of Vermont Law School. He is a current parent, and is also a principal of Cornell and Cornell, a law firm emphasizing business transactions, estate planning/probate, and labor and employment law. Mr. Cornell is the immediate Past President of the Rockland County Bar Association, the current President of the Arts Council of Rockland and a Commissioner of the Palisades Interstate Park Commission (appointed by the Governor).

David Geber Vice President

  • The Vice-President of the Board of Trustees, was raised in a family of professional cellists. He is a current and past parent of students at RCDS. He studied at the Eastman School of Music and the Juilliard School, from which he holds Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees. Mr. Geber is Vice President of Manhattan School of Music, artist/faculty at Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, CA and at the Tanglewood Music Center, and has recorded for numerous record labels.  He is Vice President of the Walter W. Naumburg Foundation and a board member of American Friends of Kronberg Academy. His cello is a rare G. B. Ruggieri, made in Cremona in 1667.

  • Treasurer of the Board of Trustees, is a thirty year veteran of the American Stock Exchange and the option trading industry. He attended the University of Michigan and is a past and current parent of RCDS students. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Amex Membership Corporation in 2006, served until it was sold to the New York Stock Exchange in 2008, and in 2007 served as member of the Special Task Force to Examine Systems Issues at the Exchange.  Mr. Pohs became an independent trader and a Specialist on the new NYSE AMEX options trading floor. He is a past Chairman of the Options Market Maker Association.

  • Secretary of the Board of Trustees, has three children who are RCDS graduates and was the RCDS tennis coach 2006-2011. She was inspired by her high school senior internship and pursued a career in Speech and Language Pathology.   She earned her BS in Speech and Hearing Education at SUNY Plattsburgh and her MS in Speech and Language Pathology at Teachers College, Columbia University. As a Speech Language Pathologist, Mrs. Avezzano has worked in a variety of settings, primarily with preschool and school-age children. She has experience working with autistic and deaf students and has also taught American Sign Language.  

Dorothy Keogh Crispi

  • A member of the RCDS Board of Trustees, and the parent of past and current RCDS students. She is a principal of the Keogh Crispi law firm and her practice is devoted exclusively to personal injury litigation. A native of Dublin, Ireland, she has been an active community member and advocate in New York since 1987. Ms. Keogh has been a member of many professional organizations including the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and has been a member of the Insurance Committee of the New York County Lawyers Association. She has completed the Ultimate Trial Advocacy Program of the American Trial Lawyers Association and is a member of the Lawyers' Brigade for Voting Rights.

Francisco Garcia-Quezada

  • Past President of the RCDS Board of Trustees, has been a member of the Board since 2002. He earned a BA in Spanish Literature and Bilingual Education from St. Thomas Aquinas College and completed his MS Ed at Fordham University, where he is pursuing his PhD.  He has received fellowships, grants, and professional recognition from the New York City Bar Association, Project Adventure (MA), Passageworks Institute for Social & Emotional Learning (CO), the International Center for Diplomacy & Conflict Resolution at Columbia University, Cornell University, New York University, and Yale University’s Council on Latin American and Iberian Studies. Mr. Garcia-Quezada teaches college and AP level Spanish at North Rockland High School, is an Adjunct for SUNY Rockland Community College and Fordham University, and an educational consultant in the area of English Language Learners, Newcomers, and Youth Development & Leadership.

Maria Luisa Whittingham

  • A member of the RCDS Board of Trustees, and an alumna of the Fashion Institute of Technology. A native of Puerto Rico, she is devoted to her work as a member of the Nyack NAACP whose focus is on racial equality, the Nyack Youth Council, Hopper House, and the Friends of the Nyacks’ Music in the Park concert series. The owner of Maria Luisa Boutique and ML Gifts & Accessories, she has been honored as “Friend of the Year” (2011) by Friends of the Nyacks, and Woman of the Year (2012) by the Rockland Business Women’s Network. She was named “A Woman of Vision and Leadership” by The Nyack Center, and has also been recognized for her work by the Center for Safety & Change, formerly the Rockland Family Shelter.
